We were actually ready to leave because it had started storming really hard and the staff thought having us there might not be safe, but then we were waiting to leave and they decided not to shut. They let us peruse the car section for free (usually a couple of bucks) until the rain calmed down enough for us to make a run for our vehicles. BTW...my favorite of all was the '67 Chevy pickup in flat black with red wheels and white wall tires. I got kinda stupid over it. He borrowed it to drive us to prom back in the day. A gorgeous car!

Cool that you got to hang out with the St Louis gang. It was a two door and man, those doors were almost 5 feet long. Gold paint, black vinyl roof, and a black interior that looked like silk - it was so nice. I'm sure it was nylon or something, but it just screamed "luxury".

'69 Olds 98Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13620189772829541530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8974965123160800517.post-5181205832493263642012-03-18T07:39:34.785-04:002012-03-18T07:39:34.785-04:00I totally dig the mid to late sixties land rafts, ...I totally dig the mid to late sixties land rafts, I had a 2 door "65" Buick Lesabre in seafoam green for a short time. These days I'm really liking the Dodge and Plymouth's from that time. Nice pics.Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13646463582447530152noreply@blogger.com
