Hey, it's Sunday.

I don't work too hard on Sundays so here is an On This Date In History for you.

February 12th 1964:

The Beatles perform two concerts at Carnegie Hall in NYC.

This was a big  week in 1964. On February 7th, The Beatles arrived at New York's Idlewild airport at 1:20 pm on Pan Am flight 101.

On February 9th, 73 - 74 million viewers tuned in to see John, Paul, George, and Ringo on The Ed Sullivan Show.

And today in history, February 12th, 1964 The Beatles answered the question:  

Q: How long did it take you to get to Carnegie Hall?

A: About six minutes from our hotel.

The Beatles ultimately failed to impress anyone in the states, and after their return to England slowly drifted out of the collective consciousness epitomizing the term one hit wonder.
