So
I'm out thrifting and decide to check out some places that I'd not been
to before. I found out there was a Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Fort
Myers (the Ft Myers in FL, which is pretty close to where I live) so I
stopped in. Having never been to a ReStore before I went in
with no expectations but came out with this:
Okay, so far I like
ReStore. I have to tell you there were tons of things in this place.
Toilets, sofas, TVs, electrical boxes, you name it. I could have spent
hours in there, but there were other places on the list to check out. So
once I spied this little honey I snatched her up and headed for the
door.
So I take this chair to the register, hand them the tag, and pay a
whopping ten dollars. Well, ten dollars and sixty cents with tax. Can
you believe it? Ten bucks! I really like ReStore now.
There are bloggers out there who know all the designers,
and what region a style came from, and what year a particular model came
out. Not me. I'm at a loss to give you any info about this chair -
except it's cool and I paid TEN BUCKS for it!
Do you know anything about it? If you do, please share. Have a look.

Kind of a crappy slip cover thing going on. |
|
The suspension looks good. |
|
All of the joints are good and tight. Excellent frame. |
|
I removed the slip covers and found the original upholstery. |
|
Big floral pattern. What do you think 1968 - 1971? |
|
No disrespect intended, but this one gets recovered. |
We'll be back later with . . . more stuff.
Love it and love the big floral print and, oh my, the price! OMG, I'd kill to pay $10 for a great looking MCM chair in Chicago! Congrats!

ReplyDeleteI was definitely the windshield that day.
